My Project

A well-curated school library fosters not only literacy but also a sense of community, curiosity, and intellectual engagement. Our proposed Tea, Treats & Timeless Poetry event aims to create a welcoming space where students can experience the joy of poetry while enjoying a calming environment with tea and healthy snacks.

This event will provide students with an opportunity to explore poetry in an interactive and enjoyable way, encouraging them to read aloud, write their own verses, and engage in meaningful discussions.

By pairing poetry with a relaxing tea-time setting, we hope to create a stress-free environment that nurtures creativity, mindfulness, and a love for literature.

Additionally, providing healthy snacks reinforces the importance of balanced nutrition while promoting focus and well-being. Rather than traditional sugary treats, we will offer wholesome options such as fresh fruit, whole-grain crackers, and herbal teas, aligning with our school’s commitment to student wellness.

By hosting this event in the library, we are reinforcing the idea that libraries are dynamic, collaborative spaces where students can engage in literacy beyond traditional classroom settings. This experience will support language development, creative expression, and a lifelong appreciation for poetry—all while fostering a sense of belonging within our school community.
