My Project

There are many times that students want to tell me things, but there is something that makes it hard. It could be that they are too shy or unsure how to tell me, we just didn't have the time, or it is a tattle that I may not really need to know about.

This project will provide my class with a "phone" that can record messages digitally.

Students can go to this phone when they want to tell me something that maybe they can't say in person. I can then listen to these messages and make sure I'm meeting the needs of my students. It may be a student that is "tattling" on another student, a student that is feeling sad about something happening at recess, a student that needs to tell the truth about something or really anything at all. I think this will be a nice addition to our cool down area.

Students will be able to quietly record these messages and I can listen to them later.

I also saw a teacher use this phone to have students record compliments to other students. I think this would be another great way to use this pretend phone in our classroom.
