My Project

Imagine being asked to perform at 100% when you are hungry, tired, and thinking about lunch. There are many days my students come to school starving from the night before or they arrive after breakfast is over. This means they will not have food until their scheduled lunch shift.

These snacks will not put a dent in the food insecurity in the urban core, but it will help provide a sense of security for those who are hungry and missing meals for whatever reason, without judgement.

It is hard to think, concentrate or be positive if you are worried about where your next meal is coming from. Having a variety of options for healthy snacking throughout the day will allow scholars to worry less and focus more! Please help me help them!
