Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagine a classroom where students can explore mindfulness, engage in interactive lessons, and express their creativity through digital projects. Learning should go beyond textbooks—it should foster social-emotional growth, critical thinking, and self-expression. An iPad will help to enhance my students’ learning and well-being in meaningful ways.

An iPad will be a transformative tool in our classroom.

With apps like Calm and Rethink Ed, students will learn mindfulness strategies to manage emotions and reduce stress. Educational apps will provide personalized learning experiences in reading, math, and problem-solving, allowing students to work at their own pace. The iPad will also encourage creativity through digital storytelling, video projects, and collaborative activities.

My goal is to create an inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered academically and emotionally. The iPad will help students build emotional regulation skills through social-emotional learning (SEL) apps, develop creativity through digital storytelling and presentations, improve organization and executive functioning with educational tools, engage in personalized learning experiences tailored to their unique needs.

My students are resilient, curious, and eager to learn despite facing challenges. Many come from low-income backgrounds and lack access to technology at home. Our school serves a diverse population, including many newcomer students adjusting to a new country and language. They deserve access to resources that support their growth and success.
