This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
Our class consist of eight great Autistic students ranging from the ages 8-10 years old in a high poverty and high crime neighborhood. The school is a safe haven for the students who have so little at home.
My students love to play games and do centers but there is not enough money to buy all the things they need. Right now they are playing games that don't have all the pieces and work With a lot of borrowed games.
By getting new games for centers and new language activities my students will be able to interact with each other and their community. They'll be able to be more independent since the games and activities will also serve as independent work stations.
Your help will ensure that my students will be able to have materials to have more language activities and more games to play with during the day.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
