Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a love for science and love being able to teach that passion to my students. We are constantly learning about the world and I am trying to find ways that my students not only learn with interactive hands-on learning but also with technology. Throughout my lessons the students use their whiteboards to show a response to a question, or highlighter to annotate a passage we may be reading. Most days my students go through about 3 expo markers so I am continuously having to get them a new expo so that they can write on their whiteboards. We have many lessons that are hands-on lab experiments. We have done several involving states of matter, weather, life cycles of plants. There are also many good lessons online which is why it would be nice for each student to have the ability to listen to experiments or lessons on their Chromebooks as well.

By supporting my classroom you are helping the next generations of scientists and helping them to find new ways of changing the world.

We are still making sure that each student is as protected as possible from not only the common illnesses that can come in the classroom but also from the chances of getting or spreading COVID. We appreciate your help and know that with their passion for learning and mine for teaching we will do great things in our classroom, community, and world.
