Taking Science Outdoors

Help me give my students the supplies needed to explore the outdoors around our school located within the Tongass National Forest.

My Project

These materials will be used to help my students learn about scientific drawing, as well as providing them with the resources to discover the wonder of Science outdoors. Our class is learning about the plants of Alaska and how to correctly identify, draw, and label them. At the end of the unit students will go outdoors to find plants and put their knowledge to use.

Students will use the materials in this project to explore the outdoors in the Tongass National Forest learning about and drawing Alaska plants!

I can't wait to share this project with my middle schoolers and see all of their amazing drawings. It is so important for students to be able to take what they have learned in the classroom out into the real world and use their new skills.
