My Project

My 5th grade students are creative, curious boys and girls who are excited and enthusiastic learners! We are a rural school with a high population of low-income students. The students in my classroom all have different struggles and strengths and learn in different ways. It is my goal that our classroom will be a place where each child is seen and heard and know that they are a valued part of a community.

With current indoor COVID restrictions, we are hoping to take much of our learning outside this spring.

Our school is located in an area that has many places on campus and within walking distance where students can be outside . The materials in this project will enable us to enjoy the beautiful weather and fresh air while continuing to learn all that our rich 5th grade curriculum has to offer. Our "traveling classroom" will provide hours of outdoor learning!
