My Project

Our Math Lab course serves students who need supplemental mathematics instruction.

In our digital age, many students struggle to grasp mathematical concepts solely through computer-based learning.

While technology is a valuable tool, I have witnessed firsthand how tactile, hands-on experiences can significantly enhance understanding and retention. For instance, when I introduce physical math manipulatives; simple items like counters, shapes, and measurement tools, students respond with increased enthusiasm and clarity. These tools provide a bridge between abstract concepts and real-world applications, alleviating anxiety and fostering confidence.

However, despite our best efforts, we face challenges that hinder our students' success. Our classroom technology is outdated and unreliable, often leading to lost instructional time. When the designated teacher’s laptop shuts down unexpectedly, it disrupts the flow of learning and diminishes student engagement. A reliable, updated laptop would allow us to seamlessly deliver lessons, utilize interactive presentations, and keep students focused on the task at hand.

By investing in our Math Lab, you can play a crucial role in enhancing educational experiences for students. We seek support in acquiring essential math manipulatives and a dependable laptop that will empower our students to engage deeply with mathematical concepts.
