Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are dreamers, builders, and leaders. Unfortunately, they are not given access to many of the tools necessary for success. I aim to train my students in the 21st Century skills that will be required to attain their desired level of greatness. We're a Title I School, with many students who simply do not have access on their own to reliable technology.

What I want most for my students is to be able to take their own future into their own hands without being held back by any sorts of limitations.

My students will be those that change the world because they believe they can. In order to do that, they must be able to use the tools of today and tomorrow.

My Project

Competitive debate has seen the need for technology increase dramatically in the past few years. Cases and information are now presented and maintained during competition on digital platforms for events such as Policy, Lincoln-Douglass, Student Congress, and Public Forum. In order for our students to make headway in this area, they need the necessary technology to compete.

With the program restarting last year and seeing our successes, many new students have joined the team, necessitating more laptops and tablets.

These new laptops and tablets will allow for each student on our team to be on the same playing field with their competition and the chance to achieve new heights through competitive debate.
