My Students

My students are wonderful kids who love to learn and have fun. They come from working class families who work hard to provide for them. Unfortunately, many of them face difficult challenges due to economic and social hardships.

My students are motivated and want to learn.

They are not all on grade level or learn the same way. In fact most of them need extra support, which I do my best to provide. I am lucky to have supportive colleagues and parents. We try to work together to come up with what our students need.

My Project

As we get ready to return to the classroom I want my students to have their own individual mats. With their own mats they will be able to social distance when they sit during reading time or at a center. They will even be able to take their "seat" when we have one of our outdoor assemblies.

These mats will offer a comfortable and convenient alternative to our classroom chairs.

They will allow my students to find a comfortable location to work or enjoy a book. They will definitely help create a wonderful learning environment.
