Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The books that I have selected would be a welcome addition to my classroom library. I feel that the students will be excited to read these stories. Reading can help students with their focus, stamina, and vocabulary.

I want my students to find books that will engage them and help them find enjoyment during their individual reading time.

This year I will be moving up from 5th grade to 6th grade. I will be seeing most of my students and will even have some back in my class. My students from last year were extremely good readers and loved going to the library to check out new books. I feel that this will carry over into the new year and I look forward to learning about my new students as well.
