My Project

I am requesting soprano recorders for my third, fourth, and fifth grade students. Recorders are easy to learn and portable. Students of all abilities can have a successful experience with this musical instrument. They can learn the core music concepts through a fun hands-on activity. Students learn about melody, harmony and rhythm. They progress from learning basic musical notation to more advanced as they increase their repertoire.

The goal is for each student to have access to their own recorder.

Students have the opportunity to play as a group as well as individually. Students also learn to be part of a team. As they prepare for school performances, they can take their recorders home to practice. The performances help build self-confidence and focus. Parents have an opportunity to support their budding musicians at home and at the school events.

This experience has proved to be very beneficial for my students. By supporting this project, you can make a positive difference in a student's school experience.
