Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I teach at an inner city school in the DC area with a rich history of success. Still, in the past few years the school has been classified failing under the No Child Left Behind Act.

The building is out dated and the school has been unable to purchase new technologies that enhance learning. I would really like my students to create and present their own slide shows but the school does not have the means for me to do so.

A LCD projector will be used for more than just student slide shows. I will be able to use the projector to teach my students how to conduct research on the internet, and so much more.
