My Students

We have a great group of students at our school. We have several economically disadvantaged families, but our students work hard to learn and grow academically. We have been recognized as a reward school for the past two years due to our students' hard work and growth.

My Project

I moved into a new grade and classroom this school year. I spent lots of time in my new classroom getting it ready and our school building also received a few upgrades this year. Our classroom is looking great, but our student chairs are not. Our chairs have been discarded by other schools and classes and are falling apart. They are mis-matched and made up of pieces from various donor chairs. The chairs are very uncomfortable and some are too big and others are too small for my 6th grade students. I would really like to give my students a comfortable place to sit and learn while also helping them have pride in their classroom and school building. For many of them, our classrooms are the nicest places they have and we want them to enjoy their time in school.
