Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students learn best when they are invested in learning! The materials below enable students to feel empowered to make choices that better their learning and to feel accountable.

Through our collaboration, we can create an inviting and comfortable classroom, where scholars of all backgrounds want to be!

With the seating options and clipboards, they can choose where they are comfortable to work within the classroom. The headphones increase the comfort of students with sensory needs relating to sounds. The laminating sheets are to create cue cards and signs to increase environmental print for communication that benefits all students, including Multi-Language Learners (MLLs) and students with IEPs.

With the coming 2024-2025 school year, we welcome students from a variety of backgrounds in our Title 1 school. More than half the students that make up my class are English Language Learners and a fourth have various IEP and 504 plans. These students deserve to feel empowered within a comfortable classroom!
