Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My combo class with 4th and 5th graders may technically belong to different grade levels and strive to achieve different California standards, but we are all working towards the common goal of taking great strides in literacy. Fostering a love for reading and developing our repertoire of reading strategies has been a major push in our school.

To support and encourage a positive learning environment, I would like to provide flexible seating options.

My diverse classroom hosts first generation students, many of whom are the oldest siblings in their families. Flexible seating would support a positive learning environment to support literacy and would also create a safe space in the classroom to dismiss any changes or uncertainties from their home lives. I am looking to add 4 Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats in our classroom.
