My Project

Exposure to books at a young age has proven to build a generation of readers. Phonics is so important for students to building a foundation for reading, writing, and spelling. When students learn how to decode word and understand the relationship between sounds and letters, leading to improved reading fluency and comprehension.

Kindergarten is the building blocks for learning to read.

Kindergarten builds emergent readers. Phonics is a great way of teaching reading. The more exposure the have from a print rich environment, a diverse classroom library, the better chances of them becoming excellent readers.

The reading journey is a big one. As a Kindergarten teacher it is my job to help students learn to read. Learning to read is an amazing process, and to be a part of helping a child in this is a real privilege.
