My Students

Imagine it's your first day of school. You had a great day and you are ready to go back. We never had our second day of school. Our second day of school was when "The Great Flood of 2016" hit. Our school had over a foot and half of water.

With this DonorsChoose.org project, we are trying to rebuild our classroom.

Any donations that are given, will go directly to rebuilding what we once had.

While our school is being rebuilt, we will be housed in the gyms of different schools from our district.

My Project

After collecting listening center books for the last 10 years, they were quickly washed away in a matter of hours. I lost all of the listening center books, CDs, headphones, and CD player in the tragic flood that hit our area.

With your help, we can rebuild our listening center and my students will get the opportunity to listen to their favorite stories.

The students love to listen to stories on CD and they haven't been able to do that since our first day of school. I find that they are able to better visualize the story while in the listening center. They also love to write their our story reviews, what they liked or didn't like in the story. Thank you for your help rebuilding our classroom.
