My Students

My students may be little, but their dreams are big! My kindergarten students are five and six years old from inner-city Philadelphia. They are energetic, creative, and inquisitive. They love listening to stories and creating stories of their own. They are very eager to learn! Their enthusiasm for learning is inspiring and they never cease to amaze me. I am honored to be the teacher of such a wonderful group of children.

My Project

Big books are so enjoyable to my students; however, their large size makes them difficult to manipulate without a proper stand. This requested Big Book easel stand will allow all of my students to easily view the print and illustrations during a read aloud. It will also help to display the book in a way that makes choral reading possible.

I would love to be able to provide a big book stand for my students this year.

I want my students to appreciate the literature in the classroom without being distracted by awkward attempts to turn pages and display illustrations.

This big book stand will be a great addition to the classroom. Children love big books! A big book stand will help to enhance the reading experience for my students.
