This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Settling back into the classroom since the pandemic has been challenging, and even more so for our students returning from 2 years of remote learning. A meaningful sensory corner is something my partner and I are building in our minds with creative ways to give our kiddos a break! Throughout the instructional day, we have a universal symbol that we teach our students for when they may face a challenge, or simply need a small break to regain focus when visiting the sensory corner. Help us build the sensory corner of their dreams to strengthen their learning readiness. Sensory windows, beads and shapes, weighted cushions, and more will help our students to calm their bodies and minds to settle back into learning!
