Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are some of the most resilient people I know. They are going through many changes this year and one of them involving "Aunt Flo". Unfortunately, many of my students do not have access to the proper care items they need for this time of the month. It is important for me to be able to provide my students with whatever they need to feel cared for and clean while they're at school for many hours during this time of the month. I

My female students deserve to go through their day at school without having to worry about their period and whether they have a pad on them.

To this end, I stock my classroom with period supplies so that our students can take what they need. Maybe they just didn't expect to start their period today and didn't bring a pad. Maybe they couldn't afford to replenish their supply at home this month. Maybe they have three sisters and an aunt who share their bathroom and the entire family could use some support.

With your help, we can ensure that our students can count on supplies at school and can concentrate on learning. Don't let their period distract them and keep them from succeeding.
