My Students

I have a caseload of about 30 students in six different schools. Some schools are fly-in only with limited access to technology and 21st century learning applications. My students are part of the gifted and talented program. Since I have so many schools, these will serve as a way for me to communicate and serve my students even if I am not at the school.

These students are excited to work with others from the district, state, and world.

They are incredibly inquisitive by nature. Because they are gifted, they are always in need of enrichment.

My Project

I will use these six Amazon Fire tablets to enhance and supplement my students' learning throughout the school day. I will be using apps like Nearpod, which allow my students to interact with content in multiple formats while providing both the teacher and student with immediate feedback on their skill mastery. The tablets will provide my Gifted and Talented students interactive and engaging ways to enhance their education. In our rural district, I serve students who live 70+ miles apart. These will serve as a way for them to collaborate together and with the rest of the world.

The addition of these Amazon Fire tables to my classroom will allow my students to explore the world through the power of technology.

They will ensure that students are fully engaged in their learning, and hold them accountable for their work. These tablets will also help provide them with the skills that will allow them to be successful, creative, and competitive leaders in the 21st century.
