My Students

My students are some of the brightest and charismatic young people living east of the Anacostia. They deal with daily adversities in their communities but see school as a safe place to help grow their bodies and minds. As young 3-4 year old learners, this is many of their first opportunity to engage in hands on learning and take full advantage of what's in store.

I want to help them change the world the best way I can and ensure they are prepared for what's to come in their educational journey.

My Project

These materials will be greatly appreciated in helping my students advance their critical thinking in math, literacy, and independence within the classroom setting. Students will utilize the tablets and headphones during our morning arrival and centers/ independent work time. They will have access to many educational games, videos, books, etc to expand their thinking and learning. This will help create more opportunities for students independent learning and growth in the classroom, as they will be occupying these materials mainly during centers play which is mostly student choice and student led.
