My Students

My school is in a diverse community in Queens, New York. My students come from different economic backgrounds, 83% of the students are receiving free lunch. My students are limited on resources due to the fact that the budget is so low, and we are considered a Title I school.

My student strive to be the best they can be each and every day!

We begin each morning with an on-demand writing assignment then work on a multi-step math problem. As an educator, I tell them that they are our future.

My Project

My students often struggle with the technology we have in our classrooms. We are limited to two computers and one tablet to share among 25 students. The donation of Fire tablets will allow my students to be able to use improve their academics. Such as my ENL student will be able to perform on grade level activities with the use of technology.

My small group will be able to collaborate with one another.

They will be able improve both their reading and writing skills. Some programs that we will be using on the tablets are Readworks, RAZKids, IXL, and IReady. Technology is essential in today's society, my students would greatly improve in all academic areas with the use of Tablets!
