Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Transitional Kindergarten is an exciting and diverse group of abilities, characteristics, and goals. Students come in with excitement and enthusiastic to begin their journey learning. Some of my students are learning how to read, write their name, count, while others are learning how to hold a pencil. My students love to dance to songs, learn new games, and play with engaging developmental toys.

My student’s imagination, curiosity, and enthusiasm is contagious!

I am a teacher in low income/Title I school. My students are faced with various challenges in and outside of the classroom. Despite the challenges that my students face, they show up every day with a positive attitude and excited to be at school.

My students are an energetic group of students eager to learn new things. They are curious about the world and bring a positive attitude to class daily.

My Project

My students will love these tablets to use every day in class! They will be used for literacy groups daily to learn essential literacy skills in kindergarten. Students will use them to read books with an endless library of books to read. They are beginning learners that are just learning to read and will love to use these tablets to listen to books online and have endless amounts of fun and engaging books to read online.

My goal as a teacher is to make these young learners fall in love with reading.

Using these tablets will be a great way to engage my kindergarten students to explore with books. They will also be used to learn phonics with literacy programs online. In addition, my students will be able to learn technology and make projects online with great programs that are offered online.
