My Project

A small group set of Amazon Fire tablets will benefit my students in many ways. Many of our families do not have the means to provide their children with access to technology at home. The tablets will be especially useful for math instruction. In middle school, the students are required to complete many interactive math lessons, including calculating slope, graphing functions and identifying transformations. Using interactive lessons on the tablets would be very helpful in this area. I hope that this new set of technology will inspire all of the students to share their talents, ideas, passions, and experiences, regardless of their backgrounds.

I work with a diverse population of students, and they need technology to stay competitive with other students.

During small group instruction, with access to the Amazon Fire tablets, my students will work alone or with a partner/peer to discuss and review critical skills. These materials will easily transition into an inclusion setting to not separate them from their peers. This will help to build confidence and critical thinking skills. This will allow them to be more open to discussing and reasoning over open-ended questions and skills taught during every class session.
