My Students

In today's world, education and technology must be integrated and literacy has evolved to include text as well as a variety of other interactive informational sources.

My students comprise a class of 12 young men in a vocational high school for students with special needs.

They are very capable and motivated, but literacy is an enormous struggle for the majority of the class. As a class, we are working on approaching literacy via technology.

My Project

4 Amazon Kindle tablet PCs will provide a platform for my students to pursue individualized programs of study via the internet. Using texts and multimedia resources available through the web, my students will have greater access to a variety of more appropriate resources than are available in the classroom.

As education evolves in the 21st century, the use of technological resources is becoming more necessary when delivering appropriate and effective instruction.

Providing 4 Tablet PCs for my students will enable them to compete more effectively as they work toward independence in pursuing new understandings.
