My Project
I am privileged to teach the most wonderful kindergarteners. Thankfully we have 1:1 technology with the use of Chromebooks, but I would love to have a class iPad that my students could use for science projects. In California, we are lucky enough to have classrooms with doors that open to the outside. If I want to teach a lesson on clouds, I can have the class outside observing them in nature for themselves in less than a minute. The iPad would be amazing because I could teach my students how to take photos with it. They could take pictures of clouds, bugs, flowers, plants, recycling, shapes, and anything else we are learning about.
I want to foster a love of science in their kindergarten year so they can build self-confidence as scientists for years to come.
This class iPad will enable my students to work both individually and in groups on projects. My hope is that my students will start to see that science is all around them.
