My Project

I am very fortunate to work in a wonderful elementary school in rural Virginia. However, being a Title I school makes funds for new classroom furniture limited. I have always loved the idea of giving my students a cohesive space to collaborate and work together. I think tables, instead of desks, would be a wonderful addition to our classroom to build a sense of community and collaboration.

My students are voracious learners.

We work hard each day to learn our content and enjoy growing and achieving together. Tables would allow my students to make deeper connections to their peers and have unlimited space to collaborate on projects. Tables would limit distractions and allow students to only focus on being learners in the classroom.

My hope is to have 5 tables in my classroom by the start of the 24-25 school year. Unfortunately, my school can not help fulfill this project due to lack of funds. I am hopeful this project will be funded in the near future.
