My Students

We are a diverse classroom of leaders and learners! We are in a rural community in East Texas, and have many different backgrounds. Many of my students speak various languages at home and come from low income environments. Our classroom focuses on using the 7 habits each day so that they have the tools to be successful inside and outside of the classroom. Although we may come from various backgrounds, we focus on working together and synergizing, because together is better!.

My Project

This project will allow students an alternative learning experience to being seated "at their desk". Research has shown that movement is critical in learning. Both of these products will help to get students "out of their seats" and create an engaging area for them to learn and work together.

My students will use this large rug and soft seats for learning stations as a comfortable place to read and play academic games.

The rug will allow groups to comfortably meet and work together on learning games, projects, and reading. The soft seats will provide more places around the room for students to choose as an independent reading spot.
