My Project

My students are active preschoolers that love to move. They have fabulous gross motor skills and need a space for different sensory experiences. A swing and weighted animal can be a delightful addition to our developmental preschool classroom. The gentle rocking motion of a swing provides a calming and sensory-rich experience that can help young children regulate their emotions and improve their focus. The weighted animal offers a comforting and grounding sensation that can help children feel secure and relaxed.

When combined, the swing and weighted animal can improve motor skills, balance, coordination, reduce anxiety and improve sensory processing.

The rhythmic motion of the swing and the deep pressure of the weighted animal can create a powerful tool for supporting our children.
