This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout the day my students are always asking me "Mr. Ramos, Do you have anything to eat?" In my classroom, I am committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating educational experience. One aspect of this commitment involves ensuring that my students have access to snacks during the school day. You may wonder why snacks are such an integral part of our classroom environment. Allow me to explain.

Children, especially those in their formative years, require consistent energy to stay engaged and focused.

A mid-morning or afternoon snack can make a significant difference in their ability to concentrate and participate actively in their lessons. When students are hungry, their attention can wane, and their motivation can diminish. By offering healthy snacks, I can help maintain their energy levels and support their cognitive functions, which in turn fosters a more productive and positive learning atmosphere.

Moreover, snacks serve as a small but meaningful reward for students. They can provide an extra incentive for students to stay on task and put forth their best efforts. In this way, snacks not only address immediate hunger but also reinforce positive behaviors and academic engagement.

By supporting this initiative, you are investing in our students' well-being and educational success. Your generosity will help create a more focused, motivated, and healthy learning environment, which can lead to better academic outcomes and a more positive school experience for every child.
