My Project

Rewarding my students with incentives like ice pops and Waffle Wednesdays plays a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment and encouraging engagement. Many students, especially those at lower academic levels, struggle with motivation, and small but meaningful rewards provide an immediate and tangible sense of achievement. Ice pops serve as a simple and refreshing treat that can boost morale, while Waffle Wednesdays create a fun and anticipated routine that promotes a sense of community within the school. These incentives help reinforce positive behaviors, such as participation, effort, and responsibility, making learning feel more enjoyable and rewarding.

Beyond motivation, these rewards contribute to building relationships and strengthening classroom culture.

When my students feel recognized and valued they are more likely to develop a sense of belonging, which can enhance their academic and social-emotional growth. My students always look forward to Waffle Wednesdays. These moments of joy can improve attendance, engagement, and overall classroom morale. By incorporating these small but meaningful traditions, I can create a more supportive and encouraging atmosphere that benefits students both academically and emotionally.
