Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Right now, I am currently teaching in a second grade NEST setting. I have been working as the special education teacher for the last seven years. The population of my students includes various students with all different learning abilities.

The students' levels range.

Many of my students are learning disabled, speech and language impaired, or emotionally disturbed. Regardless of their disabilities, I find that they always demonstrate perseverance and determination. I know that they will continue to learn a lot this year especially, from one another. However, I feel that as their teacher, I have already learned so much from them.

My Project

Flexible seating will help our students do their best learning in a comfortable and supportive environment. With being at home, and in a blended learning environment, many boys and girls are on their digital devices. We want to give the boys and girls of our classroom a more comfortable way of using the iPads and digital devices for learning. In addition, we would love to use our flexible seating for times on independent work. This will help motivate and engage the students, while also serving as a positive reinforcement.

By donating to our project, you will help in improving student attention and focus, while also making our classroom such a wonderful place to learn.
