Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Receiving donations of school party incentive materials such as a cotton candy machine, accessible carnival games, and adaptive art supplies would greatly benefit the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) team at our school by enhancing our ability to reward and motivate all students, including those with disabilities. PBIS focuses on recognizing and reinforcing positive behavior, and having fun, inclusive incentives can make a significant impact. These materials would allow us to create exciting, sensory-friendly events that encourage students to meet behavioral expectations while fostering a sense of belonging, community, and school spirit. Whether it's a carnival-style celebration with adaptive games, an arts and crafts reward session with modified tools, or a special treat day with sensory-friendly options, these resources would help make positive reinforcement more accessible, memorable, and meaningful for every student.

Furthermore, access to these materials would provide the PBIS team with cost-effective, long-term solutions for student incentives.

Instead of relying on disposable or one-time-use rewards, these items would be reusable and sustainable, allowing us to host multiple engaging and inclusive events throughout the school year. They would also provide opportunities for students of all abilities to participate in hands-on, interactive activities that support creativity, teamwork, and positive social interactions. By receiving these generous donations, we can continue to build a positive, inclusive school culture where students feel excited and motivated to exhibit good behavior, ultimately leading to a more supportive and successful learning environment for all.
