My Project

In our special education class, students are learning life skills. The goal of this program is to help them to be an integral part of conducting a small business. This gives them exposure to possible job opportunities down the road when they go out into the workforce. The name of their business is Sweet Blazer Cafe. The business they run at school consists of an amazing lunch program.

They help to design a menu, create an order form, gather orders from teachers, and prepare and serve the meals.

They also, with assistance, collect money and make change for the "customers." With this project, there are multiple opportunities for students to learn the process of conducting a small food service business. The can openers, spatulas, utensils, and container items purchased will help make our business run smoother. Our program doesn't always have the resources to buy all these items, as this Cafe is really not out to make a huge profit but to at least make enough money to restock our items. This would be a great asset to continue running our business.
