Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school has a population of students that struggle both academically and financially.

Sweatpants being available for students means students are able to stay in school instead of go home if they have an accident, as well as provide something warm and comfortable to wear for those students who may need clothes for the winter.

Sweatpants also provide students the ability to be comfortable in school and able to participate in physical education, giving them the opportunity to be academically successful holistically and not just content areas. Having additional clothing also means increasing attendance, which means a higher chance of graduating high school.

At this school, more than 50% of students are Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income households. Learn how your donation to this school supports a more equitable education.
