My Students

My students are eager to learn about ways to sustain our planet.

In sustainability club, we share commonalities in that we love science and we're passionate about looking after our planet.

We all know about the pressures that human activity places on the climate, but many students at the Middle School level feel insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Sustainability club gives us the opportunity to contribute our thoughts and ideas toward making a change for the better while having fun. Together, we plan and design activities, utilize data, and implement a hands-on approach towards sustainability.

My Project

As 21st century learners, students can utilize the concepts of sustainability in their everyday lives by building their own solar powered USB charger for their gadgets. In addition, students will use recycled materials to create and build iphone microscopes for the classroom.

With the help of Donor'sChoose and Teach for the Planet, students can witness first hand the benefits of renewable energy while becoming college and career ready at the middle school level.
