My Project

The members of our Sustainability Club never pass up an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to the environment. They are true Climate Change Activists and Advocates. Members of our Green Team remind their classmates to engage in proper recycling in the classroom and their teachers to turn off their smart boards and other electrical devices at the end of the day. They discuss climate issues that are prevalent in the news and research topics that come to light during our discussions. They are as concerned about the problems of "global weirding" and what is happening to the animals as a result of habitat loss. They look for simple solutions to complex issues such as food waste and use these solutions to fight food insecurity. They are collaborators and problem solvers. Most recently they helped to bring our Earth Day in May Museum to life, from its planning to its execution. The event exceeded our expectations!

Help me to continue to encourage and inspire these future leaders by providing sustainability-themed prizes to them at our end-of-year Green Team Awards Assembly.

These gifts will keep on giving beyond the classroom walls as they will serve as discussion pieces and activities that our students will take home over the summer break.
