My Students

My science students are curious, creative and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they inspire me every day!

Many students in my science class come in saying they want to take home projects that we build in class.

They do not have materials at home to continue their excitement at home. Due to the large number of students I teach, I reuse the materials for all of my classes.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves exploring in science, and are excited to share their work with their families. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and team building! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of scientists that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

Providing students with engaging lessons is crucial to creating life long learners This project will give my students hands-on STEAM materials linked to real-world applications, even the youngest of students can experience rich classroom learning. Our school is a Title I school and the student population is very diverse. This year we are creating a school garden for all of the students to learn about plants, pollinators, teamwork and sustainability.

The wheelbarrow, gardening gloves, aprons and other gardening supplies I am requesting will help me create an amazing learning garden for all of my students!
