Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My first-grade students are learning the joy of reading and I want to bless them with books to take home over the Spring Break from school. Many of my students do not have quality books at home due to circumstances out of their control and this will provide books to cherish for years to come.

Building a bag filled with books to take home will make the kids feel so loved over the Spring holiday break.

These books are terrific for my students because one has a main character that looks like my students! Another one has the Easter Bunny whimsy that kids love! These kiddos will be THRILLED to have these books at home to share with their families over our Spring Break!
