My Project

Help my students step into the shoes of Supreme Court justices! As a Title 1 school, our resources for experiential, hands-on learning in the social studies classroom are limited. My AP Government classes are filled with curious, motivated learners eager to dive deeper into the judicial branch and the critical role it plays in shaping our democracy. To truly understand the complexities of constitutional law, I need your help to create an immersive Supreme Court simulation that brings the classroom to life.

Through this unit-long project, students will research landmark cases, analyze real-world legal arguments, and role-play as justices, attorneys, and clerks.

They'll grapple with constitutional questions, craft persuasive arguments, and issue opinions—all while honing critical thinking, public speaking, and collaborative skills.

To make this experience as authentic as possible, we need materials such as printed case briefs, judge robes to wear during the simulation, and resources to transform our classroom into a mock courtroom. These tools will foster an engaging, hands-on learning environment, making complex concepts accessible and memorable for every student.

Your support will help empower future leaders by fostering a deep understanding of our judicial system and inspiring civic engagement. With your help, my students will gain hands-on learning to help them ace the AP Exam in May, and let them experience firsthand how justice is debated and decided at the highest levels of government.
