Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

According to most research, about 65% of elementary school students are considered visual learners, meaning they learn best by seeing information presented visually. In my classroom, most of my students are visual learners. In order to support my students, I strongly believe having an easel that is portable will allow me to enhance my lessons and reinforce student learning.

The easel will increase engagement as I offer the students opportunities for hands-on learning and collaboration with their classmates.

This all-purpose easel will help my students have a better visibility of the lesson as I present and give direct instruction.

In addition, this easel will allow for improvement of their visual attention.

I will use the easel to present vocabulary and encourage students to use academic language to enhance their oral and writing development. I plan to use the easel by displaying charts with sight words or math facts to build fluency. The easel will also allow me to post lesson objectives for students to be able to refer back to what they are learning. All in all, the easel will significantly impact and contribute to my students' academic achievement.
