My Students

I am a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom.

My students are an amazing group of third graders who are eager to learn and explore.

They are living a growth-mindset philosophy, embracing the new learning experiences and challenges and are ready to stretch and grow their brain muscle. Children are like sponges, ready to soak up everything. It is my pleasure and duty to help shape their precious minds to love learning and be successful.

My Project

My classroom is full of amazing students with unique needs. Students need the bands and desk maze to help reduce anxiety and promote a sense of calm. For those with restless legs, anxiety or just plain nervous energy, having an outlet promotes a sense of calm and enhances the ability to focus. Our fidget bands are perfect for releasing nervous energy!

Meeting the needs of students shouldn't exclude those with special needs.

Students also need materials to help develop their fine motor skills. I will place the letter beads inside the putty. Students will work to find and pull out the letters. This as well as the weighted pencil will help students build their strength in their hands.
