My Students

I teach a wonderful group of kindergarten and first graders who are all curious, kind, hard-working, and enthusiastic. From discussions about the Amazon Rain Forest to questions about our identity that help us connect to one another--it is clear that my students are eager to learn, discuss, ask questions and have fun.

In my classroom, we welcome student's ideas, questions, ways of expressing themselves, curiosities, and differences--we know that each and every one of us brings value to our community.

We are constantly working on making sure that we each feel heard, seen, and supported. We work on listening to one another, helping each other through challenges, and gaining independence. I strive to help provide my students with an environment that is safe and honest, encouraging and challenging, engaging and enlightening.

My Project

These gift cards for TeachersPayTeachers materials will help our class in a variety of ways. TeachersPayTeachers is a website where teachers are able to put materials, activities, lessons, and centers that they have created for other teachers to use. We are currently building math units and have found it useful to get hands-on and engaging materials from TeachersPayTeachers.

We are looking to get standard-based math centers, worksheets and games that allow for students to experience hands-on, targeted and rigorous fun.

We will use these materials for lessons, to practice independently and as games to play with classmates. Some of the materials can also be printed and then sent home to be used as at-home enrichment. There are endless ways that we could use gift cards on TPT and we are so excited about the idea of helping other teachers at the same time!
