This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are incredible, resilient, and full of energy. They come from diverse backgrounds, and many of them face challenges outside the classroom that impact their ability to focus and thrive during the school day. To help them reach their full potential, I want to create a calm and supportive classroom environment where they can feel comfortable, stay focused, and manage their mental health.

The items I am requesting—extra flexible seating options, snacks, fidget toys, games, and coloring books—will play a crucial role in creating this environment.

Flexible Seating Options: Many of my students find it difficult to sit in traditional desks all day. By offering flexible seating options, like like counter-height tables, I can give them the freedom to choose a seat that helps them focus better. Having these options will make a huge difference in their ability to concentrate and stay engaged in their learning.
