Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school psychologist who works with children who require special education support. At times, these students have neurodiverse needs such as Autism, ADHD, ODD, and other disorders. These disorders can make it difficult for them to function in the classroom with their neurotypical peers without different tools, modifications, or sensory support.

These tools can teach children the means to manage their own needs without needing a teacher or another adult's support.

items like a fidget spinner or a chewable necklace can help them self-regulate their needs in the classroom. Additionally, because they are able to manage their needs in the classroom they are not losing instructional time because they need to leave the classroom to de-escalate themselves.

The additional cleaning supplies would be used in the psychologist's office to ensure that my space is kept clean and safe for students. Thank you very much for your time!
