This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am beginning my 7th year as an educator in a specialized NYC high school. My students are extremely talented, creative and diverse; each bringing something new and unique to the classroom.

As a mathematics special education teacher, it is my job to support all the learning needs of my students and overcome the gap from remote learning.

This can only be accomplished by providing specific and individualized feedback and support to each student.

This technology will allow me to conference and create a plan to help each of them succeed. For example, upon completing a problem set, I can meet one-on-one with students to provide support in targeted areas while the remainder of the class is working on something else. In short, this piece of technology will help me target instruction specifically to each student's needs without taking away from the needs of the class as a whole.
