My Project

The items requested help support Social-emotional learning (SEL). Social-emotional learning is a critical part of Early Childhood Education. SEL helps children develop skills essential for success in school and life. Social-emotional learning helps students develop skills such as Self-awareness, Empathy, Communication, Emotional regulation, Problem-solving, Conflict resolution, and Positive social behaviors. My 3k students are special because, when entering my class, it is their first educational setting, and for most of my students, the first time interacting with peers. In 3K the foundation of how young learners recognize and manage emotions is set. My class is a Special Class in an Integrated Setting(SCIS) which, allows students with and without disabilities to learn alongside one another.
